| As well as the annual twinning visits we do, as an association, enjoy many other events. These are organised and spread over the year and recently have included:
A Fête des Rois (Twelfth Night Revels with a French flavour), Skittles, Quizes, a Gastronomic Call my Bluff, a Bastille Day barbeque, Petanque matches and many others.
Several of the events include a meal in some guise. Bangers and Mash is becoming a favourite, with either a quiz or bingo for example.
At a lot of the events you are cordially invited to bring your own liquid refreshments. Our normal premises are not licensed, but we all like a drop of our own choice etc.
We have recently started to have an annual dinner around Christmas time but refuse to call it a Christmas Dinner. This year’s event took place at Capers in Dibden Purlieu and was attended by forty members. Steve, the owner, opened specially for us on Sunday 18th November and he and his staff provided us with a most enjoyable meal and occasion. |
